4:00 pm. Okay, it's a little blurry, but this was our sky all summer. The colors are pretty acurate, the sky was that dark, the sun varried from pink to orange, and the air was thick with ash. It settled on cars in chunks the size of nickles.
The fact that our cheap-o camera can even pick up the details of this spider should indicate how large the creep was. Even Michael, our farm boy, hadn't ever seen a Wolf Spider this big. He could take down my cat.
Too many stories of these being on me to be comfortable.
